Springer publishes Iranian scholar’s latest book on lifelong learning 

Dr. Afsaneh Ghanizadeh, Associate Professor of English at Imam Reza International University, has published her latest book with the international academic publisher Springer, marking her second collaboration with the renowned publishing company. 
The work, titled “The Lasting Contribution of Lifelong Learning: Empowering Minds,” explores the transformative power of continuous learning in today’s rapidly changing digital world.
A member of the world’s top 2% of scientists according to 2024 global rankings, Dr. Ghanizadeh describes the book as a deep examination of lifelong learning in the context of what she calls “liquid modernity”—an era defined by digital transformation and constant change. 
She explains: “My goal was to show how continuous learning strengthens the human mind and influences personal and social development”.
The 11-chapter, 353‑page volume covers learning across all life stages—children, adults, and the elderly—addressing emotional, motivational, cognitive, and social dimensions. It also introduces innovative educational paradigms such as peace education, value‑based learning, critical pedagogy, and outdoor education. By highlighting these models, she aims to transform learning from a rigid system into a reflective, democratic, and meaningful process aligned with human needs.
Given the prevalence of technology, a key part of the book is devoted to digital literacy and the intelligent, critical use of technology in modern education. Each chapter concludes with reflective exercises to encourage readers to apply knowledge and engage in personal growth rather than passively absorb information.

The book’s acceptance through such stringent peer review underscores Imam Reza International University’s growing global presence.
